Bore hole Water Treatment Project:

The bore hole was located in a food factory. Due to the high levels of pesticide in the water the bore hole only served the wash down facility. Iron filters and a pumping system existed. The pumps were designed for the flow rate required for wash down only and were reused as dedicated back wash pumps and new booster pumps installed. The control panel was replaced with a panel that combined the existing iron filter requirements with the new pesticide removal system.

Existing Parameters:

• Pesticide Removal – 18m3/hr, Food Factory
• Existing System – 11 years old

• Water used for wash down only due to pesticide level.

New parameters:

• Requirement to use water in production
• New System
  • New booster pumps
  • Existing pumps for back wash
  • Existing iron removal filters
  • New carbon filters, 10 to 15 min EBCT
  • New PLC (Siemens).
